What license do I need to ride a Royal Enfield in Bali?

You need a motorcycle license: Indonesian riders need a SIM C, and foreign riders should carry an International Driving Permit with the motorcycle (A) category alongside their home-country motorcycle license.

RIDENATION.ID accepts a valid home-country motorcycle license or an IDP for the rental itself, but Indonesian traffic law expects foreign riders to carry an IDP, and police checkpoints in Bali ask for it. A car-only license does not cover a motorcycle, and riding without the right license can void travel insurance after an accident.

RIDENATION.ID checks the license at handover, together with your passport for verification, proof of accommodation in Bali and your arrival and departure tickets.

Which Royal Enfield is best for Bali?

The Classic 350 is the best all-round choice for most riders in Bali; pick the Himalayan 450 for Kintamani, Sidemen and rough roads, and the Interceptor 650 for highway pace and two-up touring.

The Classic 350 is light to handle in Canggu and Seminyak traffic and the most comfortable for a passenger. The Classic 500 has the original long-stroke thump and suits riders who already know a big single.

The Himalayan 450 has long-travel suspension and a 21-inch front wheel for potholes, gravel and steep climbs. The Interceptor 650 is a smooth parallel twin for the bypass and the west coast road.

Is there a deposit, and how do I pay?

Yes, every rental has a refundable Rp 3.000.000 security deposit, paid with the rental by bank transfer, cash or QRIS and returned when the bike comes back in matching condition.

The bike is inspected together with you before handover and any existing marks are photographed. Damage repair costs are estimated by a partner workshop and deducted from the deposit transparently.

Can the bike be delivered to my hotel or villa?

Yes. RIDENATION.ID delivers to hotels and villas in south Bali for a fee, including Canggu, Seminyak, Kuta, Sanur, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua and Uluwatu, or you can collect the bike from the base in Denpasar.

Tell us your accommodation when you book and we confirm the delivery fee on WhatsApp before you pay.

Can I rent a Royal Enfield for a week or a month?

Yes. The minimum rental is one day (24 hours), and weekly and monthly rates cost less per day than renting day by day.

Extensions must be requested at least 12 hours before the rental ends and are confirmed once the bike is available for the extra days. Long-stay riders without a departure ticket can use approved alternative documents.

Where are the best places to ride a Royal Enfield in Bali?

The classic Bali rides are the Uluwatu clifftop roads at sunset, the climb to Kintamani and Mount Batur, the rice terraces around Ubud and Jatiluwih, the lakes at Bedugul and the quiet valley road through Sidemen.

Leave the south early to avoid traffic on the way north. For a full day, Ubud to Kintamani and back through the Tegallalang terraces is around 100 km.

Beaches, river crossings and leaving Bali are not allowed on a rental bike.

When is the best time to ride in Bali?

The dry season from April to October is the best time to ride in Bali; from November to March expect afternoon downpours, so ride in the morning and carry rain gear.

Roads in the highlands get slippery and foggy in the wet season, and Kintamani is noticeably colder than the coast all year.

What fuel does a Royal Enfield use, and how does refueling work?

Royal Enfields run on Pertamax (RON 92) or better from Pertamina stations, and every RIDENATION.ID bike is handed over with a full tank and returned full.

Avoid roadside bottle fuel for a big bike. If the tank is not full on return, refueling is charged with a service fee.
